A poker tournament is a tournament where players compete by playing poker.It can feature as few as two players playing on a single table (called a 'heads-up' tournament), and as many as tens of thousands of players playing on thousands of tables.The winner of the tournament is usually the person who wins every poker chip in the game. The length of a poker game varies depending on the number of players, type of game and blind levels. Generally a 6 seater sit and go game would last approximately an hour, but tournaments could last.

Tournament Points (TPs) are used to buy into VIP tournaments on ClubWPT. All players start with a fixed amount of TPs (500) upon opening a VIP account. They cannot be reloaded, but will be automatically “topped up” once per day. TPs can be used as buy-in for certain tournaments and may be awarded for certain tournaments. TPs are non-transferable and have no cash value.
If your game or table fail to properly load, it is most likely due to the way your browser stores data, including images, in its cache. Clearing your cache will remove this old data, and any conflicts this old data may cause, and allow you to continue with your game. In order to cut down on player absenteeism, any player registered for a tournament at ClubWPT will be automatically eliminated twenty (20) minutes after the start of the game if no action was ever taken in that time. As long as one (1) action is taken within that time frame, you will not be automatically eliminated. So it would be advisable to at least take your seat and fold a hand, then sit out in order to avoid this action.
Log in to ClubWPT and go to “My Account.” Near the bottom of the right-hand column, you will see an option to connect your Facebook account. When you click on the link you’ll receive a pop-up from Facebook to share the information listed on the approval screen. Approve the request to link your ClubWPT and Facebook accounts.
Log in to ClubWPT and go to “My Account.' Select the unlink option from the bottom of the right-hand column. Unlinking your Facebook account will not affect your ClubWPT account.

VIP Members can play in both single-table and multi-table tournaments. At the beginning of each tournament, every player starts with the same number of chips, and the tournament continues until one player has accumulated all of the chips. Some tournaments are cash tournaments, in which the top performing players win cash prizes, while others are satellite tournaments, in which the top performing players win seats to larger prize pool tournaments. There are also tournaments which offer merchandise prizes. These prizes are not transferable.

A lot of you (and frankly, a lot of us) wondered how long it might take to finish a PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker event. After all, it sometimes takes a couple of days to win a championship in SCOOP or WCOOP tournaments. Accounting for the time investment in addition to the buy-in is not an easy thing.
So, when PokerStars announced TCOOP, a lot of people like Ivan Demidov were understandable excited.
'Turbo COOP is a great idea for me,' Demidov told us. 'I don't really have time to play 15 hour sessions anymore, so turbo tournaments are my best way to participate in big tournaments.'
